JBC Takes on wellness and nature
This Summer our Junior Black Campers, were in it to win it. We traveled to Fairburn Georgia to Wellness and Nature for their Conflict Resolution and Self-esteem Camp. Here we prepare them for the upcoming school year and challenges they may face. Nature and wellness Invited us and boy they did not disappoint. From helping with the planning, providing volunteer opportunities, guiding us downtown. The itinerary was extraordinary. Located in Fairburn GA BBOOOOOOOKKKKK THem!!!!!! Ohh did I mention GLAAMPING!!!!!

JBC Renews their canoe
They Did it!!! After receiving a RUX grant presented by Kentucky Waterways Alliance. JBC partnered with Creekside Landing Marina to provide water access to our community. That's right!!! You all can literally book JBC and BAC's canoe. It's right on the marina ready for you to use, check it out like a library book!!

JBC Creates a community Garden
Junior Black Campers has a giveback initiative. They came up with the great idea to start a community garden and give free food to the neighbors. They received The Love Your Block Grant with the office of violence prevention along with the Louisville Water Foundation to bring Aquaponics, Hydroponics, raised bed, compost bins, Trellis, and a greenhouse.

Jbc indulges in a week long day camp at JMF
Junior Black Campers Survived a week long summer camp with Jefferson memorial Forest. This was made possible through Kentucky Waterways Alliance. JBC and Louisville echo aligned our water curriculums together and made JBC's Water Access and Stewardship initiative top tier. The campers launched rockets, tested water, found critters in the creek and what better way to end with a WATER FFFIIGHTTTT!!!

Jbc Takes on MAmmoth Cave
Junior Black Campers Traveled to Mammoth Cave to get their first dosage of the cave system. Sponsored by KADA (Kentucky Ag Development Advocacy) They were scared at first but then they loosened up and the questions started flowing. They learned sooo much about rock formation, water systems, as well the cave system.
